Ode to Bright Artemis Necklace

Artemis is a powerful archetype of a fiercely independent woman who defies societal expectations. As the goddess of the hunt and the wilderness, she is also associated with the moon, acting as a light-bearer and representing the untamed aspects of the feminine spirit. She is often depicted wearing a short tunic and hunting boots to allow for full freedom of movement as she roams the wild, preferring nature to the confines of Mount Olympus. This goddess is a fierce protector of the vulnerable, including young girls, animals, and the natural world, and is often accompanied by her band of nymphs. 

Artemis is celebrated in the “Bright Artemis” coin necklace which features a bust of her proud head. Posed alone to honor her fierce independence, Artemis wears a distinctive headpiece called a stephane, with her hair rolled in a triple knot as loose locks flow down her neck. She carries a bow and quiver.
